PURCHASE OF SILK
FRENCH NEGOTIATIONS., Received May 19, 11.30 a.m. TOKIO, May 18. According to Press reports, the French Commercial Mission now in Japan is negotiating for the monopoly of all Japanese silks exported to Europe, for the purpose of avoiding of the English taxes.—Reuter.
