LATE MARQUIS CURZON.
LOYALTY TO COLLEAGUES. LONDON, March 25. The Archbishop of York, while conducting the funeral service at Ivedlestone, said the Marquis Curzon bitterly felt the disappointment when liis life’s ambition to succeed to the Premiership was thwarted when Mr Baldwin succeeded Mr Bonar Law, but he did not allow that disappointment to affect his devotion to his country’s service orpins loyalty to liis colleagues.—A. and N.Z. cable.
DOMINION'S SYMPATHY
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 28. Upon receipt of the news of the death of Marquis Curzon, Mr Massey sent a cable to Mr Baldwin expressing the Dominion’s sympathy, and he has received the following reply:—“l aw conveying to Lady Curzon your message of condolence. May 1 meanwhile express my appreciation of your kind message of sympathy to us in the grievous loss which the Empire and Great Britain lias sustained by the death of Marquis Curzon.”
