JEWISH ENTHUSIASM

EARL BALFOUII WARMLY

GREETED

JERUSALEM, March 26. Earl Balfour had an enthusiastic reception when visiting the Jewish colony at Bichon. Jn a speech he said his declaration did not represent the attitude of one individual, or nation, but the whole body of international opinion which signed the Versailles Treaty and it was unlikely ever to be reversed. Earl Balfour was later warmly greeted at Telaviv, where the freedom of the city was conferred on him and a new street named after him.—A. and N.Z. cable.
