FRENCHMAN AND I-EMININK GARB. PARIS, F.b. 5. L« Petit Parisien. relates the history of the mail Trappe. who lived in Paris for a decade as a woman. He went to the battlefront, as a corporal, in 1914, wne v-aunded in the hand and wa* accused of selfmutilation, in order to escapo rervice. Ho was court-martialled, hut the charge was not proved, and Trappe was transferred to another regiment. As a protest, Trappe deserted and arrived in Paris in woman's attire in order to avoid arrest, and worked ever since in workrooms where only women were engaged.
