"THINK IMPERIALLY."
CHURCHES AND MIGRATION. NEW ENGLISH MOVEMENT. LONDON, Jan. 22. The Rev. P. Stacy Waddy states that the first job in Britain is to get the churches to think imperially. He will launch a new movement at a meeting at the Albert Hall on April 23 to enlist the greatest support of the churches on behalf of migrants settling in the Dominions. CLOSE SETTLEMENT. "I shall point out the necessity of the churches intensively developing their work simultaneously with migration and closer settlement in the Dominions. As the migrants settle in large numbers, more clergy will be required. We can't expect one clergyman to cover hundreds of miles. "If the early churchmen had neglected their job 1 would now be a little heathen climbing a gum-tree.
"A committee of the Church Assembly will meet in February to coordinate and extend all the church work on behalf of migrants, under the impetus of Bishop of Salisbury, formerly Archbishop of Brisbane. Churchmen in Britain are- welcoming the new movement.
