BUTTER AND CHEESE.
LONDON QUOTATIONS. Received Februarv 7, 8.5 a.m. LONDON, Feb. 5. The butter market is steady, with good demand, considerable quantities going to the Continent. Danish is firm at about 212 s per cwt., Germany buying steadily. New Zealand choicest salted 153 s to 160 s per cwt; Australian, 148 sto 150 s. Unsalted about 14s per cwt. premium, owing to a temporai-y shortage through scarcity of Argentine as a result of drought. Cheese is firm. Now Zealand, 94s to 96s per cwt; Australian, 90s to 925. A. and N.Z. cable.
