ENGLISHMEN AT TOOWOOMBA. Received December 11, 8.5 a.m. BRISBANE, Dec. 10. The cricket- match at Toowoomba, concluded in good weather on a good wicket. England made 394 for three wickets (Hearne liot out 174, Tate 94). The innings was declared closed. Toowoomba’s first innings realised 181 (Drews 52). Freeman took 6 for 48. Toowoomba followed on and in their second innings made 87. Kiliier took 7 for 36. England won by an innings and 124 runs. —Press Association.
