BEAM WIRELESS
RUMOURED ACCEPTANCE OF TENDER. NO ADVICE IN AUSTRALIA. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.] Received December 9, 1.15 p.m. MELBOURNE, Dec. 9. In reference to the reported acceptance of tenders for the erection of beam wireless stations. Mr Bruce (Prime Minister) states that he has received no advice of a tender being accepted. The Age newspaper refers to the alleged acceptance as an apparently inspired report, and adds: ‘‘lt is considered astounding that up to the present no official notification of any such decision lias been received by the Commonwealth Government from its representatives on tho board of directors of Amalgamated Wireless, Limited.” Press Association.
