PADDY’S MARKET.
Final arrangements for Paddy’s Market to be held at the Empire Hall on Wednesday and Thursday, are now nearing completion. . Numbers of volunteer carpenters are busy erecting stalls, etc., while practically the. whole of the court yard of the Empire Hall will be covered in and will form part of the market. A large amount of floor space is being reserved for dancing, to which no admission will be charged. The Punch and Judy expert and "Bunty Pulls the Strings” from Wellington, Aladameoisolle Lucille, the well-known South Island fortuneteller, have all arrived, and Father Christmas will be there with a fairy Christmas tree. Over 2000 pounds weight of the choicest beef, mutton, lamb, Veal and pork in the .district is being slaughtered at the abattoirs for the market whi<3i will be a unique big, and successful affair and it is expected to bo the jolliest, morri’est carnival yet held in Palmerston North. ' •
