The Dannevirke Club retained the Manson and Barr Cup on Saturday afternoon after an exciting finish with the challengers, a Pahiutua rink—A. Bissett, F. Britland, AY. Britland andp. Bissett (skip). The holders were represented by Kiigebretseu, Englebretsen, Rankin and It. Bissell (skill). On the 19th head Dannevirke was leading by 18 to 13, and looked like winning comfortably, but on the next head Pahiatua’s skip, with a splendid running shot, carried the kitty and lay five 18 all. The last head saw the holders score a single point and victory thus went to them by that narrow margin. _ The Palmerston 2sorth Club has put in a challenge for next Saturday. The Masterton. Club was due to play AVoodville for the Tucker Badges and Dixon Cup. this afternoon.
