LAD AND A REVOLVER. THE WEAPON CONFISCATED. HAMILTON, June 2. Armed with a seven-chambered revolver that would not work, a 15-year-old Hamilton lad caused some alarm among the juveniles in his neighbourhood by threatening them. He appeared before the Juvenile Court today, charged with having an unregistered revolver in his possession. The police stated that the boy was in the habit of carrying the revolver round in his pocket' and of sleeping with it under his pillow at night. He pointed it at other boys. Defendant said he did not know ho was required to register the firearm. He carried it about for the purpose of playing cowboys. A fine of 5s was imposed and the revolver was confiscated.

A relative who gave tre boy the firearm was charged with a breach of the Firearms Act. He said the revolver was quite harmless. The _ magistrate ordered him to pay costs (7s 6d).
