LINTON RIFLE CLUB.
, OPEN RANGE SHOOT. The first shoot to be conducted by the Wednesday section of the Linton Defence Rifle Club since the holiday season was held on the Aokautere range yesterday 7 afternoon. Six members participated, ten shots being fired at the 300 and 500 yards ranges and seven shots at 600 yards. The wind was tricky but the conditions were otherwise good and some excellent scores were recorded. T ollowing are the detailed scores:—V. Ivyle 42, 47, 89 • F. Hogg 43, 42, 28, 113; W. Randell 37, 44, 32, 113; C. Page 41, 40, 32, 113; P. Burn 37, 35, 29, 101; L. Hastings 31, 33, 64. V. Kyle and L. Hastings were unable to complete the full shoot. The mid-week section lyill commence the championship series n4xt week when seven shots will be fired £t the 300 and 500 yards distances.
