BOWLING.
GALA DAY. The gala day conducted by theManaratu Bowling Centre on the Palmerston North Club’s green yesterday afternoon was a successful one from every point of view. Eighteen rinks participated and excellent competition was witnessed. In the earlier part of the ifternoon the high -wind militated to a certain extent against good play, but later conditions were very much better and a good standard of play was in evidence.
