DEPORTATION ORDERED.
NEW PLYMOUTH. Jan. 30. In the Magistrate’s Court Frank Fernillis and E. Papevksidukis, deserters from the steamer Leeds City, were convicted of landing without permits and were ordered to be deported. Pending the arrival of a suitable vessel they were ordered to be kept in custody for a period not exceeding six months. On the charge of deserting a conviction was entered without penalty. A charge of failing to take the oath of allegiance was withdrawn.
