By request the first item was repeated. All were appreciated, nearly every one being encored. Mr Owtram, on behalf of the matron and committee, thanked all friends present for their interest in the children and appreciation of their efforts. All the children present had several danoes and finished up with supper. After the little ones had retired the older folk had supper and danced until midnight, every one having a splendid time. Many kind remarks were passed as to the appearance and general well-being of the children of the home. Great credit is due to Mrs Murdoch (who is on the staff) for the great pains she took in training the little ones for the concert. As the hall was lent free of charge for the occasion, and the supper was also given free by Mr Holben (an old friend of the children), all of the takings will be handed over to the children’s home.
