NEW ZEALAND WOOL.
DISPLAY FOR EMPIRE EXHIBITION. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 27. To-day a start was made to class the wool which is to constitute the Dominion’s exhibition of this product at the British Empire Exhibition. The,wool has been presented by sheep owners in different parts of New Zealand, and is being classed under the auspices of the Wool Committee of the Canterbury District Committee of the exhibition. Mr N. M. Orbell, chairman of the committee, told a reporter that it was hoped to finish the classing and packing of the wool by the end of (no present week. They expected to ship the whole exhibit from Lyttelton for London about January 14. There was some possibility of the ship* ment of the exhibit being delayed owing to the non-arrival of a number of rornnoy marsh fleeces which had been promised by the Romney Marsh Breeders’ Association, but which had not yet come to hand,' No reply had been received to a telegram of inejuiry recently sent to the Romney Marsh Breeders’ Association, but Mr Cruel! assumed that possibly the Christmas holidays had delayed the delivery of the telegram,
