SHOT THROUGH HEART.
, YOUNG MAN FOUND DEAD. (Per Press Association.) ASHBURTON, Dec. 26. Yesterday morning l at Fairfield' Albert Baden John Willis (23) was found dead in a plantation shot through the heart. A pea rifle was lying alongside the body. Willis was the son of a family long resident in the district. Yesterday morning deceased caused concern by not partaking of breakfast, and gave no reason. At 10.30 o’clock ho wont out with a noa rifle, and later on a letter which he had loft at home was found. This_ caused alarm, and search was made immediately, and the body of the young man was found by Miles Sprott in the middle of the county council plantation, about a mile from his home. A doctor w'as summoned, but life was extinct.
