RONGOTEA LUCERNE COMPETITION.
At a special meeting of the committee, called by Mr J, Gloyn, final arrangements were made for judging the lucerne competition. The secretary was instructed to notify Mr Deem, fields instructor, that Monday, March 5, was a suitable day and that the party would commence at 10 a.m., leaving from Rongotca Siding and proceeding to Carnarvon, then returning through Hongotea to Kopane; thence back to Rongotea town and to Cooper’s Lino; and thence to Glen Oroua. All farmers were invited to take part and view the various crops to be judged. It was decided to arrange with Mr Deem for the judging of the root crops at a later date.
