FOREIGN MISSIONS.

SPECIAL EFFORT OF METHODIST CHURCH. A bright and interesting service was conducted at the Cuba Street ■Methodist Church on Sunday evening in celebrate the conclusion of a special effort during the past twelve months, by which £IOO Was raised to assist the mission work of the church. The ordinary service was preceded by a song service, during which the augmented choir rendered special anthems, solos and duets. A foreign mission demonstration occupied (ho main portion of the service. Mr Hancox rend the financial position of the various missionary funds, the treasurer’s report revealing the fact that already £IOO had been raised. The confidently expect: the past year’s snbscriplions to double those of the previous year. Three short addresses were delivered by Messrs H. N. Vivian, G, C. Harris and R. H. Billons. Details of world missionary methods and practices were outlined, the great need of personal and financial assistance being strongly stressed. Altogether the service was a memorable one, serving to illustrate for the inline days the best and heartiest ways to raise foreign mission income.
