MAN WITH A GUN.
FINE JNFLiCTED IN AUCKLAND. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, June 9. George. Eustace Nalder, an elderly man, was brought beloro the Police t.onri, charged with having a lireann in his possession wiiliout holding a permit for the same, and also with having threatened to shoot one Allan llorlcv. The defendant, who was slated to he the father of the girl who was recently killed through falling from die fourili Hour of the Strand Arcade, pleaded guilty, and a statement made by him was handed to tho magistrate. In this certain allegations were made against llorlcv, giving reasons for tin- dci'eiidain’s threat of shooting. On tho charge of being illegally in possession of a lireann, defendant was fined £5, and an order was made lor the confiscation of the weapon (a single barrelled shot gun). On tlm second charge ho was hound over in a surely of £IOO to keep the peace against Jlorley for a period of six months.
