THE FOREIGN POLICY.
RESOLUTION 3Y LIBERALS.
Received Mav 39, 9.20 a.m. LONDON, May 18,
The National Liberal Federation has passed a resolution stating that Britain’s foreign policy during the last three years has been conducted deplorably and with unfortunate results. It condemned the continued supervision and manipulation of international relations by the Supreme Council and sectional conferences, and declared that Britain’s policy ought to be peace and friendship with all countries, the League of Nations being fully and frankly relied upon as the only guarantee of lasting peace for the world. The resolution states that the League should admit Russia and Germany if they desired it and gave the requisite guarantees—A. and N.Z. cable.
