At a meeting of tho Canterbury Sheepowners' Union the chairman (Mr L. Rutherford) said-that, the talk of trusts was ridiculous, and the Government should at issue a license to Armour and Co. He favoured setting up-ji Government, Shipping Board, and was confident that had not a mistake been made they would have received thirty millions more for (he wool clips commandeered than they did. The heep flocks of were deteriorating,. and it was extremely necessary that oreedets take strict care in the selection of' rams.
A resolution was passed (hat it he a re commendation to the delegates attending the next annual meeting of the Sheep owners’ Federation Council to support the proposal ro federate the existing farmer?.’ organisations.
