SOCIAL FUNCTIONS.
A very pleasant function look place on Tuesday evening when ‘some 60 friends assembled at tho Orient Hall as the guests of Mr and Mrs Stanley, of 11 Cook street, to mjLi'k the coming of age of their
daughter Iris. The young lady was tho recipient of, many, useful gifts-from those, assembled.
Another, of those most popular events, tho fortnightly dance social of the Post and Telegraph Social Club, was held in
the Foresters’ Hall last night, between 50 and 60 couples being present. Mr J. Glynn acted as M.C. and the music was supplied by Mr Elvey. A dainty supper, supplied by the ladies’ committee, was also much appreciated.
