STOCK SALES
Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report having held a very sticcesslul sale of pedigree and grade Jersey cows on account of Mr G. Wells, Feilding, yesterday. There was a good attendance, buyers from outside districts being present, and tho various lots offered were keenly sought after. The cows were a nice lot in good condition and the. top price of 144gns was paid for the heifer ‘‘Lady Gleam of Rosy Creek,” bought by Mr A.- Hudson, Levin; lot 3, “Engari,” 80gits, purchaser, E. O’Sullivan and Son, Tariki; lot 4, “Finery,” 11. J. Burrell, 60gns; Lot 5, “Rosy Creek Flower,” Mrs A. Banks and Sou, Kiwitea, 78gns; lot 6, “Staccato,” H. J. Burrell, 60gna; lot 7, “Lady Gleam of Rosy Creek,” .A. Hudson, 114gns; lot 8. “Rosa’s Ripple,” A. Buchanan, Palmerston North, blgns; lot 9, “Rosa’s Rossini,” W. Watt, Rewa, 39igns; lot 10, “Rosa’s Rosette,” not offered owing to kteing under veterinary treatment; lot 11, “Rosa’s Rosary,” A. Buchanan, 40gns, Grade cows. £l3 15s, £2l, £27 10s, £29 10s, £3O, £52, £34 io £49, an average of £3l. . Grade yearling heifers, £6 to £l3 15s. Pedigree bull “Beacon,” 50gns, was purchased, by L. Campion, Fordell; yearling pedigree bull, “Rosa’s Renown,” by I..;tampion, 26gns.
The Wairnrapa Farmers’ Co-operative Association, Ltd., stock department, . Pnhiar tun, report on their usual weekly sale held in the Farmers’ yards ou ihei 9th inst; us follows:—A fairly good entry of sheep and a medium yarding of'cattle came forward. Tho sheep market was- the dullest experienced for some time, only an odd pen changing hands, although there was some very good stock yarded.
