CREEKS AND TURKS.

NEUTRALITY OF THE ALLIES. NO HELP FOR BELLIGERENTS. Received August 11, 10.55 a.m. LONDON, August 10. The Supreme Counoil decided that the time has not arrived to mediate between the Turks and Greeks. The Allies declared their neutrality, emphasising that the belligerents must not receive arms, men or credits. Mr Lloyd George said that conditions had changed. The Sevres Treaty had been torn up by the Turks, and it was obvious that the Greeks were entitled to assume that the treaty had ceased to exist. He thought that M. Briami’s dictum that the victors should got the benefit of a, doubtful point applied to the present situation.—A. and N.Z. cable.
