RAILWAY OFFICERS DISSATISFIED.

(Fib Pbbbb association.) GREYMOUTH, Jan. 2

At a general meeting of the Grey Branch of the New Zealand Railway Officers' Institute 'resolutions were carried calling the attention of the Minister to the. fact that, despite the expressed mandate of Parliament the D 3 (classification list) for 1919 restricts the lines of promotion and preference whereby many efficient and zealous officers have suffered grievous injustice, and that he be requested to cancel this classification and complete a fresh D 3. Also, that this meeting emphatically protests against Grade 8 (members' salaries and promotions) being withheld for the simple reason, that the increments did not fall due on April Ist. In some cases members, have to wait as long as one year and eleven months for their yearly increment. We hold that the 'ncreases should fall due on the date they originally became due. Further, that this meeting of Greymouth members of the R. 0.1, have absolutely no confidence in the executiveas at present constituted, and call upon the members of the executive as a body, to resign, and that the constitution be iltered so that the executive be not sleeted by the delegates, but by a ballot of all members.
