The counting of the returns for the House "of Representatives is so far complete that it is possible to obtain a fairly reliable forecast of the final result. Ihe Telegraph gives the totals of the members returned, or certain to be returned, as follows; Nationalists 34 Labour 28 Farmers’ Party 14
Ballarat is still in doubt, owing to the tie between the Nationalist and Labour. Mr Glynn, Minister for Homo. Affairs, was defeated by 251. A start has just been made on the second preference Senate figures. The Referendum figures steadily grow in ihe direction of the defeat of both issues submitted. The Labour candidate has definitely beaten Mr Webster by 1342 votes.
