Tho Now York Times’ Washington cor-i-espondent says : Republican, Senators are angered at Senator Lodge’s opposition. fo the Peace Treaty compromise, md say->tbey will request him not to interfere with tne conciliatory steps taken by the Republicans and Democrats. Senator Underwood (Democrat) offered a resolution in (he Senate requesting VicePresident Marshall to appoint a committer of ton Senators to draw up a resolution for ratification of the Treaty, which would bo approved of by Senator Lodge. The latter objected, thereupon the resolution was tabled.
