AMERICAN SECRET SERVICE AR REST SUPPOSED AGENT. (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Per Prkbb Association.) Received November 9, 1C.5 a.m. WASHINGTON, Nov. 8. Secret Service agents arrested Thomas Walsh, a British subject alleged to bo a messenger between the Sinn heiners m Inland and the United States, upon his arrival at New York. He attempted to destroy an important communication from the Sinn Fciners in Ireland. It is reported that Walsh has made several Transatlantic trips as a seaman since (ho United States entered the war. The document was evidently written by a highly educated person, and its contents are described as unusually interesting. Initials are used which apparently refer to persons recently arrested here, also in other parts of the United States.
