A WEEK'S NOTICE.
(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, April 11. A In giving a reserved judgment for a week's rent in lieu of noticc against a had pleaded that ho was compelled to leave in consequcnce of vermin, Mr Kettle, S.M., said that in law there was implied the undertaking by the landlord in respect to unfurnished houses that such were free from vormin, but for some reason difficult to understand this was not so in the case of furnished houses. Ho suggested an amendment of the law, so that in the absence of an agreement there should be such an implied undertaking with respect to both furnished and unfurnished houses. He also recommended tenante to get such undertaking in writing before entering into occupation.
