HOCKEY.
NEW CLUB FORMED.
A meeting of hockey enthusiasts was held last night, when it was decided to put two senior teams in the field, under the name of the Palmerston Hockey Qlub —the colours to be black and white. Old Boys juniors have thrown in their lot with the new club, and it will consequently be fairly strong in numbers. Following officers were elected :-jPatron, Mr D. Buick, M.P.; president/Mr J. A. Nash; vice-presidents, Messrs E. Shep. Dixon, L. Giorgi, H. J. Canton, J. S. Watchorn, G. W. Harden, H. Watt, H. R. Cooper, Watson and A. H. Rogers; hon. treasurer, Mr W. Kinnear; hon. secretary, Mr H. Canton. The following honorary members were 'elected: —G. Abbott, J. Puklowski, N. Sinclair, G. Torstenson, W. Oates, and E. Denton.
