CORRESPONDENCE.
LONGBURN SCHOOL COMMITTEE. (To the Editor.) , . , Sir, —In your account of the function held in connection with the Longburn School, Mr Pirani, in his speech gives the credit of removal of school to its present site to Mr Bennett and the members of .the old committee. In fairness to the present committee (while granting the' old committee worked hard to have the school removed), I might state that the present site was not on offer to the old committee or even considered by them, and it was the present committee who worked to obtain the site the school is now on, and which, to my mind, is much superior in all ways to the other site offered. I may also state that the present committee includes two members of last year's committee.—l am, etc., D. PROUSE, Chairman, Longburn School Committee.
