A resolution was carried in favour of earmarking horses for national defence and advocating State subsidies. An influential committee of members of the House of Commons and others was elected. Earl Errol Said that France spent £30,000 annually in encouraging horse-breed-ing, and Great Britain a beggarly £5000.
