ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

Albert Robinson met with a nasty acci' dent at the Oroua Bridge sports yesterday afternoon. Just before the starting of the Local Race, Robinson was riding a, horse owned by Mr Duncan Robinson down to the starting post, when the girth broke, and he fell to the ground, his foot catching in the stirrup. While in this position he was trodden on by the horse, his nose being completely laid open. He was given first aid and sent to the Palmerston North Hospital in a cab. Robinson is (employed at the Longburn Freezing Works as a drover.
