A Unionist has been elected for Newark iStarkey). .Liberals have been elected as i'olj lows : —Northampton Alii!, Alanlield; Norfolk Mid. Lord AVodehouse. Re-elected — AYestbury, Fuller ; Argyll. Ainsworth; Barnstaple,Hoares ; Aylesbury. Rothschild ; Tyrone South, .Russell ; Wellington division of Somerset, Acland Hood ; Peters held, Nicholson. A thousand female operatives in the Blackburn district have withdrawn from their Trade Union as a protest against the employment of the funds for political purposes. Three thousand operatives at Burnley attended a meeting and recommended the AVeavers' Association to withdraw from the labour representation committee after the poll has closed. Air Higgins, the Nationalist candidate for Galway North, died of heart failure. No Unionist has been elected in Wales.
