He recommended his immediate release, and 'Mr Want, who appeared for the defence, wrote him officially expressing the opinion that a gross miscarriage of justire occurred. Mr Wise claims that he acted regularly and constitutionally with the object ot reversing what he be belieyed to be a miscarriage ol justice. More Earthquakes.
