Amateur Athletic Club.
A meoting of tl".a Amateur Athletic Club was held last, evening in tho Royal Hotel, to receive tho letter from tha Leaguo of Wheeluoon, reprimanding the club for allowing two riders, Clarkson and Woodroofe, to take part it tho last sports' meeting, they not having, at tho time, received their status as amateurs.
Considerable indignation was expressed by the members at the stand the League had taken oyer the matter, particularly in its disqualification of the two riders for two years for what was —-tically not their fault, and although Mac-ion n7_" tafeen at the meetiig, it was decided that the -fommHtee should writo to tho Amateur Athlei'--- A!.*> o***0*** Hon asking that the matter suoul«- Va fully gono into. No further business was transacted, but another mooting will be called to further discuss the question at an early date.
