SCHOOLBOY’S DANGEROUS PLAYTHING
FULLY-LOADED PISTOL. Auckland, November 11. A 12-year-old pupil of MeadoAVbank' School Avas dangerously equipped to play “cowboys and Indians” a feAV days ago. A Remuera constable, acting on information, Avent to the school, questioned the boy and found he had inside his shirt a Webley automatic pistol, containing six live cartridges. Fortunately the safety-catch was applied. Liquiries. have shoAvn that the boy obtained the pistol from another scholar. It had passed hrough at least four hands after it had been given to an Auckland resident by a visiting seaman. It is likely that more than one person Avill be prosecuted for breaches of the Arms Act.
