FOXTON BOY SCOUTS.
MEETING OF THE LOCAL MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
A meeting of the Boy Scouts Local Management Committee was held at the residence of Captain Middleton on Tuesday. There were present Mesdames Middleton, Clias. Robinson, M. A. Ross, Captain Middleton and Scoutmaster H. Hamer. Apologies for absence were received from Mrs R. Moore and Mr W. Thomas.
Scoutmaster H. Hamer reported that the whole of the troop had passed the Tenderfoot Test and were now working on the Second Class Test.
As the troop is in urgent need of funds for camping, ambulance and other gear, it was decided that a shop day would be held at an early date. A donation of furniture was generously made by Captain Middleton and a pure bred angora rabbit was donated by Mrs Middleton, these to bo sold .at the shopday. It was also decided that a five hundred evening be held shortly. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to Captain and Mrs Middleton for the use of the room.
