FOXTON FIRE BRIGADE FOOTBALL CLUB
EUCHRE AND DANCE. The weekly euchre and dance organised by the members of the Foxton Fire Brigade Football club was held in the Town Hall supperroom on, Monday evening.
There was an excellent attendance and the dance proved to be one of the most successful yet held. The prizes for the euchre were won as follows: —
Ladies: —Miss D. Brown 1; Mrs V. Reaves 2; Miss M. Hirini 3. Gents: —Mr D. Easton and Mr W. Williams tied for first place; Mr A. Taylor 3. The music for the dancing was supplied by Messrs T. Carter and McMillan, extras being, played by Mrs Baker and Miss I. Neville. Novelty dances added to the enjoyment, these being won as follows: Lucky Gay Gordons, Mr Williams and'Miss Taratoa. Monte Carlo: Mr E. Morgan and Mrs O’Keefe. During the evening greatly appreciated items were contributed by the following: Song, with steel guitar accompaniment, by Mi’ T. Carter; action song: Mr J. Hirini and party; song: Mr Williams; song, with steel guitar accompaniment, by Miss E. Ellers.
