The friends of Mr E. W. Bills will be pleased to learn that he is still making good progress in the Palmerston North Hospital.
'Mr J. Gordon Elliott, who represented the Oroua electorate in the Reform interests . prior to being defeated by the Hon. J. G. Cobbe, has been approached to again contest the seat. He stated in an interview that he would make his views known at an early date.
A visitor to Foxton over the week-end mil be Mr R. G. Millen, who will be remembered as relieving' manager ah the local branch of the Bank of N.Z. during Mr S. H. Poole’s absence in England. Mr. Millen, who will be the gnest of Mr and Mrs D. R. Barron, has been promoted to the position of manager of the Holkitika branch. Before taking up that position, however, he will join the ranks of the Benedicts. His wedding takes place at Wellington on Monday.
