COMBINED BAND OF HOPE.
The monthly .meeting of the Combined Band of Hope was held in the Presbyterian Sunday School last evening. There was a very fair attendance and Mrs J. Ross presided. The meeting opened with the Temperance hymn and prayer. The following children contributed to the programme: Recitations: Helen, Winnie, Freddie, Nancy and Billie Murray, Ross East, Ruth Crow, Betty Young, Jean and Horace Reid. Songs: Marjorie Walker,- Joan and Johnnie Freyer, Jean McKenzie, Bonnie Evans, Tommy Thomson and. Colin Evans. Mrs J. Ross told two stories entitled: “Speaking With Your Feet,” and “The Wild Beast Show.” The meeting" closed with the Temperance Hymn and Benediction. The November meeting will be in the form of a breaking up party for the year.
