LOCAL LAD INJURED IN MOTOR SMASH.
DELIVERY ALAN LEAVES ROAD . AT .MASTERTON. Masterton, February 15. ,Three young men were more or less seriously injured when a delivery van belonging to the Champion Bakery, Masterton, left the road near the junction of Hughes Line and the Masterton-Carterton highway last night. The driver, Hector Perreau. son of Air. and Airs AL E. Perreau, of Lady’s Alile, Foxton, and another young man were thrown through the windscreen, and a third was precipitated through the door. All three were taken to the Afasterton Hospital in the ambulance. Two were admitted and one was removed to his home. Mr. Perreau’s condition is serious, but he was reported to-night to be showing a slight improvement. The second man has been discharged. Local inquiries this morning indicate that AEr Perreau is progressing favourably.
