PROHIBITION SUPPORTERS AND PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATES.

The Prohibition supporters in this electorate are free to vote for whichever candidate they choose, as the pledge does not preclude them from supporting either candidate. He are the letters received from both candidates forwarded to the Otaki No License League : Wellington, 30/11 ' 1914. President No-License League, Levin. Dear Sir, —I repeat what I have already stated that it is my inten ■ tion to do my best to have the local issue repealed and that 1 will in any case unreservedly support a bill to reduce the majority on the National issue to 35 per cent. With respect to those areas in which No-License has been carried, T would not allow restoration at anything less than a three-fifths majority. — (Sgd.) W. H. Fiked. Levin, 3/12/14. Secretary NoLicense League, —With regard to Licensing majority, 1 may say that my attitude is what it lias always been. I favour majority rule and will support any measure that has for its object the application of this principle to the Licensing issue. (Signed) J. Robertson.
