The Malay rebels have murdered Stewart and Harris, two officers of the Pahang Exploring Company. Both men came from Australia. The Afghans are boycotting the railway stations at Khojak. The Sultan of Turkey has abandoned his claims to the possession of the Sinai Peninsula, owing to the firmness displayed by Lord Salisbury and the Khedive of Egypt in dealing with his request. The Polish Anarchists have killed the Bishop of Proninski. The murderers were pursued, and two of them shot dead. The other two committed suioide.
