THE BARE MAJORITY QUESTION

Replying to a prohibition deputation, Mr Bradney, M.P., said that he Was opposed on democratic principles to the bare majority, and that he would continue to oppos© it. at the risk of his political extinction. Mr Harris, M.P., sympathised with the deputation, but.said that _it was making a mistake in insisting on pledges from Members, which were calculated to give the no-license question an undue prominenoe in politics.
