BRITISH PICTURES.
To-night the new series is to be screened for the first time in Blenheim at the Town Hall. Itcom^ prises a programme that would hold pride of place in any animated picture theatre in the Dominion. Films depicting the world's most beautiful harbor, intrepid mountineers attempting to conquer Mont Blanc, huniiindrama with its mingling of pathos and humor, and side-splitting comedy are here represented. A study entitled "A Life for a Life,'' a pictorial adaption of "Convict 99, illustrates the reforming of the man who has wronged. This is a picture drama of great interest, and holds the attention from the start to the pathetic- climax. "The Ascent of Mont Blanc" contains a wealth of detail that perhaps for its comptex nature no other scenic has quite equalled. "t*athe Gazette" contains items of presentrd'av interest from all over the world. The beautiful harbor of Rio de Janeiro in itself is worth the price of admission to see. To-morrow the new programme will be shown at the Town. Hall for tfofi second time; Picton is to be visited on Thursday, Grovetown on Friday, and a return to Blenheim for Saturday. _The company have completed negotiations with the Proprietor* of the picture-drama l 'Uncle Tom's Cabin," which will be shown at an early date.
