AUCKLAND, June 12. In the Supreme Court to-day Alfred Charles Norris, formerly postmaster at Whakatane, was sentenced to one year's hard labour for the snisappropriation of £325. James' Simpkins, postal messenger, on a charge of the theft of £58 Is 6d, was admitted to probation for two years.
