-[PTUESS ASSOCIATION.! 4 STRATFORD, May 19. The Taranaki provincial inference -of the Farmers' Union opened to-day here. Resolutions were parsed urging increased railway facilities for trucking fat stock;.also recommending Parliamentary regulation _of the" speed of motor cars; depreciating the purchase of private estates by the (government while so much waste land awaited settlement, and condemning the taxation of farmers on the socalled unimproved value of their holdings. ■ .
