CHRISTCHURCH, May 12. The Westport murder case will be lieard on Monday. Alex Kiddey, convicted of killing Thos. Saunders at Sumner by striking him on the head with his fist, was seritenced to six months' imprisonment. . C. I. Denby, stationmaster at Leeston, was found guilty of the theft of goods from the railway. He applied for .probation, and denied the .-statement that other shortages stopped when he left. The case was adjourned.
